Pakistan disappointed as match with Sri Lanka washed away

The match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan was abandoned without even a ball being bowled on Friday, due to persistent rains.

The game was suppose to begin at 10:30 am but was eventually called off during the afternoon, forcing both teams be awarded points. The Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed may have been slightly disappointed, as Pakistan were entering the game as favorites.

The results of the match means both place Sri Lanka and Pakistan at 3 points each, putting them in positions 3 and 4 respectively in the ICC Cricket World Cup points table.
